The Olivier Cornet Gallery would like to congratulate Miriam McConnon and Jessica Traynor on the outstanding success of last Saturday’s launch of the public art installation Lost Lace, a collaborative project in commemoration of those lost to Covid 19. The installation will remain in Dublin’s Iveagh Gardens until the 23rd of October.

If you missed last Saturday’s launch, be sure to attend the opening of Lost Lace – The Drawings

6:30pm,  Wednesday 19th October 2022

Olivier Cornet Gallery, 3 Great Denmark Street, Dublin 1

The artist Miriam McConnon has documented and displayed her preliminary ideas for the public installation in a series of drawings in charcoal, colouring pencil and pastel. Here is offered a rare glimpse into the artist’s practice and thought process surrounding the central theme of the Lost Lace project.

At the opening of this exhibition we will have the opportunity to hear from the artist herself, as well as experience Jessica Traynor reading her poems commissioned to honour those things we have lost during the Pandemic – people, skills, art, connection.

‘Lost Lace – The Drawings’ will be on display at the Olivier Cornet Gallery until the 30th of October.
